Flour Power:The Challenges of Restoring A Formerly Derelict Watermill

Saturday 18th of November 2017: 2pm - 4pm

Acorn Bank Watermill is a 19th century mill owned and operated by the National Trust, which is situated on the Acorn Bank Estate near Penrith. The mill ran for centuries producing flour, but fell into a state of ruin in the 1940s. On Saturday November 18th Acorn Bank Mill volunteers Bob Price and Richard Harland will join us for a fascinating talk documenting the process of returning this historic Mill to its former glory.

Location: Heron Corn Mill, Mill Lane, Beetham, Milnthorpe, Beetham, LA7 7PQ
