The Beach Hut Gallery

The Beach Hut Gallery

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of The Cartmel Peninsular on the shores of the Morecambe Bay Estuary, The Beach Hut Gallery displays a collection of work by local artists using a wide variety of materials and techniques. Caught between the welcoming fells of South Cumbria and the treacherous sands and salt marshes skirting Grange over Sands; Kent's Bank is the final destination for the famous Cross Bay Walk led by Cedric Robinson, Queen's Guide to the Sands. The main railway line between Lancaster and Barrow in Furness trundles past daily, stopping on the doorstep of the Beach Hut Gallery, a former railway building at Kent's Bank Station, converted and transformed by a co-operative of enthusiastic artists. Unique and original work in, glass, ceramics, sculpture, felt, wood , print and paint is on display throughout the year alongside a calendar of changing exhibitions, giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase work by new and varied artists.
