Hardy Plant Society Cumbria Group

This is the local group of the national society. The society's objectives are to advance the culture, study and improvement of hardy plants and stimulate an interest in their preservation.

When do we meet?
On the third Monday at 7.30 p.m. each month from January to May and September to November inclusive when talks are given on a range of subjects: there is a raffle and most meetings include the sale of plants. The Group also organises garden visits during the summer months.

Can anybody attend/join?
Membership of the Group is open to all members of the national Hardy Plant Society. Non-members may attend lecture meetings as guests.

Do I have to be a member?
Guests are very welcome at a cost of £3 per evening.

Is there a cost?
Membership of the National Society is £17 per annum, £19 for joint membership. Additionally Group membership is £7 per annum or £10 for 2 members at the same address.
