Talk and Tea - The Quaker Botanists

Letta Jones, lecturer and researcher in the history of gardens, landscape and horticulture, will provide a unique opportunity to find out more about some of the botanists featured in the Quaker Tapestry. Discover how they contributed to the planting of the great English gardens and parks of the 18th Century. We will focus on; John Bartram of Philadelphia, Peter Collinson and John Fothergill of London. Hear first-hand about Bartrams Botanical Garden in Philadelphia – come along and discover more!
