In May it’s off to Printfest in Ulverston, affordable art all under one roof. From May to August, enjoy the partying crowds and funfair at Cartmel Races. Want a little music in your life? Try the Ulverston International Music Festival with its main programme taking place in June. Or how about the Lake District Summer Music Festival in July and August, presenting a wonderful varied programme.
Taking place in September there’s Lakes Alive a superb festival for all the family; the Ulverston Lantern Festival, a spectacular lantern procession through the streets of Ulverston; or the colourful Kendal Torchlight Carnival with its floats, dancers and bands. You must try the Lakes International Comic Arts Festival in October, it’s the only event of its kind in the UK. Finishing off with the majestic Kendal Mountain Festival, in November, featuring films, inspirational speakers and photography.
