The Paradine Case (1947)

The Paradine Case (1947), directed by Alfred Hitchcock tells the story of Anna Paradine, on trial for the murder of her wealthy husband. British Barristor Anthony Keane takes on the case and in the process, falls in love with Anna, despite being married himself.

The film was based on a novel by Robert Smythe Hichens and stars Gregory Peck, Ann Todd, Alida Valli, Charles Laughton, Charles Coburn, Eithel Barrymore and Louis Jourdan. 

The Langdale Chase Hotel was known as Hindley Hall, the Paradine estate in the 1947 film.
